The crown goes to Bob

Congratulations to Bob Wand, who blasted the field for 187.2 and earned the Week 14 crown. Bob rode a monster 40.2 from Michael Wilson and a slate-breaking 37.0 from Jahmyr Gibbs, then spiked a one-percenter in Blake Corum (29.1) for the knockout. He also got steady production from Dak Prescott, plus value from Khalil Shakir, Jakobi Meyers, and Kyle Pitts Sr.—more than enough to overcome a dud from the Bears D/ST. With a modest 13.5 chalk rating, Bob found leverage in all the right places and posted his best score of the season.

The chase for the crown

Ben Maier (153.9) took second behind the Gibbs–Lamb stack, even while eating the chalky stumble from George Pickens. Right behind, Nick Rohrbeck (150.9) and Ed Ulreich (150.6) were separated by a whisker—Nick hit the right RB core with Gibbs while Ed’s pivot to Christian Watson offered a needed jolt at WR. Bryan Daley rounded out the top five, buoyed by another big day from DK Metcalf and the same Wilson heater that powered Bob’s runaway.

Chalk talk: what hit and what hurt

• The room’s heaviest plays mostly misfired: James Cook III (48.6% rostered) managed just 12.1, and George Pickens (40.5%) sputtered to 8.7. The popular Commanders D/ST (21.6%) chipped in only 3.0, while Emeka Egbuka (21.6%) face-planted at 3.5.
• The difference-makers came from lower exposure: Michael Wilson (16.2%) detonated, Christian Watson (16.2%) delivered 24.9, and DK Metcalf (13.5%) came through. Meanwhile, Gibbs (24.3%) was the right spend-up, and he decided a lot of matchups.

Sleeper shoutouts

Hats off to a few lone-wolf darts that paid: Michael Bordes found a gem in Harold Fannin Jr. (28.4), Jordan Rana squeezed 22.3 out of Tyler Shough, and Ben Weller’s solo Vikings D/ST posted 18.0. Jordan also nabbed a huge 28.1 from Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Those singletons fueled solid finishes despite some landmines elsewhere.

Tough breaks

A handful of name-brand picks cratered lineups: Romeo Doubs (0.0) and DJ Moore (0.6) torpedoed several cards, while Daniel Jones (1.8), Tyrod Taylor (-0.8), and Marcus Mariota (-0.1) offered little escape hatch at QB. The Cardinals D/ST (-4.0) was a full-on sinkhole. Even stars weren’t safe—Justin Jefferson (3.1) and Mark Andrews (1.9) were costly setbacks.

Standings ripple

Eric Wilde ascends to first overall on a six-week heater, while Cameron Mahoney slides to second. Ben Maier’s runner-up pushes him to third. Bob’s crowning effort vaults him to 18th with a new personal best. Elsewhere, Ryan Christensen extends a four-week top-half streak, while long cold streaks continue for Jonathan Starosta and Dwayne Richter.

Parting thought

This week rewarded balance: anchor with a smash like Jahmyr Gibbs, find mid-range eruption with Michael Wilson, and pepper in one unique swing—hello, Blake Corum—to separate. Bob nailed all three. Long live the king.
